The Ballona Creek Renaissance Club at Culver City High School works with Ballona Creek Renaissance in a concerted effort to help educate and involve the community on the preservation of our local creek and watershed environment. The club gives high school students an opportunity to directly serve their community while, at the same time, polishing skills of leadership and communication. They often supply large pools of volunteers eager to get their hands dirty for Culver City at creek cleanups, which requires a lot of physical labor managing equipment as well as the trash collected. Club members have also assisted us with outreach at our educational booths at various events such as Fiesta la Ballona in Culver City and Del Rey Day (see our writeups and photos under News / Recent Events). We are lucky to have an enthusiastic group of students who share our vision for our local creek and watershed.
