A Watershed Morning with Lycée Francais 3rd-Graders

042616-lyceeOn April 26, BCR’s Irene Reingold (pictured), June Walden, and Jim Lamm enjoyed a fun morning teaching two sessions of about 30 3rd-graders each, touching on watershed, creek, wildlife, native americans, and what we can do to help. Following a short BCR video and slide presentation, June’s hands-on watershed demonstration and and Irene’s native american chalk talk dialog brought out lots of hands and good questions and comments.from the enthusiastic students.

It’s times like these that inspire BCR and bring hope for the future!. About a week after BCR’s annual classroom visit, the Friends of Ballona Wetlands host a Lycee student field trip in the salt marsh and dunes of the Ballona Wetlands.
