The Culver City Council recognizes organizations that participated in the City's Coastal Cleanup Day work on Sept. 19.

The Culver City Council recognizes organizations that participated in the City’s Coastal Cleanup Day work on Sept. 19.

On October 26, the City of Culver City recognized BCR, the Culver City High School BCR Club, and other local organizations for their diligent work in cleaning up Ballona Creek on the anual Coastal Cleanup Day, September 19. Accepting an award certificate for BCR were several BCR board members; BCR Club president Erick Perez and other students accepted a certificate on behalf of the club. At the Overland Avenue cleanup site alone, volunteers collected 239 pounds of trash, 116 pounds of recyclables, and 678 pounds of green waste.
