Volunteers are invited to help remove trash and other discards
from the creek at the Centinela Avenue bikepath entrance (west side of Centinela Avenue). Help keep this debris from harming birds, fish and other creek wildlife downstream as well as in the ocean! Adults, students and other youngsters who can follow instructions are welcome; we give school community service credit as well. Wear closed-toe shoes, hats and sunscreen. We will provide gloves and appropriate tools for reaching and removing items from the creek. There is an ongoing safety talk before volunteers begin their work; no one enters the creek itself, and all trash removal is done from the banks. Afterward, you will feel gratified by your good work!
