On Wednesday afternoon, February 3rd, an enthusiastic group of SGN employees joined BCR and Culver High BCR Club leaders to collect creekside trash at Centinela just downstream from the Centinela Avenue bridge. Led by SGN co-founders Chris DeWolfe, CEO, and Josh Yguado, President/COO (in cap and tee in center of group pic), the energetic crew’s efforts extended all the way to McConnell Avenue!
With the bulk of the trash being varieties of harmful but lightweight polystyrene products and pieces as well as single-use plastic bottles and caps, the 185 lbs haul filled many buckets and bags! Among the more unusual finds were a car radio, a boombox shell, and a soccer ball.
Located in Culver City’s vibrant creek-close Hayden Tract, SGN (www.sgn.com) is “the fastest growing mobile games studio in the west”.
Just as BCR seeks to connect creek and community, SGN connects people around the world through popular games. We really enjoyed introducing them to Ballona Creek!
